Your email addresses are gathered only for the purpose of sending you mail, when you subscribe yourself to a mailing list. All mailing list subscriptions require you to confirm you want to be subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time, and your email address will not be shared by us with anyone (although posting to a mailing list will of course result in your email address being sent along with your posting to all list members).
