This is the current list of guilds planning on Kingdom A&S, anyone else want
to attend?

Greetings to you Rauthulfr,
I am trying to finalize our table layout for Kingdom Arts & Sciences and
would to know if you know more than me about which Guilds wish to have a
display this year. So far I have the following:
1. Spinners Guild, rep Margerie Freyser
2. Lampworkers Guild, rep Katiana
3. Embellishers Guild, rep Arwen? (she is competing...)
4. Equestrian Guild, rep Macha
You will be included in the distribution list for the final layout map.
Macha is going to be helping to setup the guild area at the event.
Yours,
E

Mistress Laurellen, while we have not had much chance to talk, and I suspect
we finally will on the 16th, I wanted to check with you now to see if you
had any specific thoughts on Guilds or Guild displays for Kingdom A&S. I
have not yet started working with Lord Elric on ideas for Guild activities
at the site, and am unfamiliar with the layout.
Lord Elric, in the past the Guilds have complained to me that they felt they
were placed in odd corners of Kingdom A&S at which they are present. Given
that I am writing at this point, I hardly expect to have an event dedicated
to a Kingdom Competition re-organized to fit their likes! ;-> But I was
wandering if you had any idea as to where we could place any Guilds who
might desire to attend with signs or other things to draw more attention to
where-so-ever they might be. I have a suspicion that part of the past
issues have been due to a lack of emphasis that the Guilds were actually
there actively to give out information, and in some cases to actually teach
or help with on going projects. Thus they are a potential resource for
folks who would be interested in activities represented by the Guilds, as
opposed to simply spots to find out about them. At an A&S project they
could be used as a location which could be actually used as an active
teaching/information component for the sharing of information on a variety
of activities.
As of yet the Guilds have been focusing on 12th night, and as such I cannot
give you a list of which guilds will be at Fire Mountain keep. (For any
Guild Folks on the Admin-List, it is a great and welcoming shire with a
heavy A&S community!) But If we can still work out a place for the Guilds
(Primarily Kingdom Guilds, but local guilds which are not represented by a
Kingdom Guild are welcome), that is Kewl. Otherwise, I think the key will
be to work out a way to direct attention to them. Effectively whatever area
is designated for the Guilds, becomes the Kingdom Guild-courtyard/Agora
regardless of the shape of the area. It is sort of a way of focusing
attention on the Guilds; a means of getting folks used to having the guilds
gathered together, and to make it easier for the guilds to look out for each
others spot if someone has to pop-off for a bit.
Marquise Laurellen, if you have any thoughts about Guilds at Kingdom A&S
this is certainly something I need to know about so that I can work in
accordance with your thoughts or directives.
Yours in Service
