Ohmigoodness, yes! Look at any map of Brittany: it is a
positive *welter* of sites named after local saints from 'way back who
never made the Official Lists, but whose neighbors thought very highly of
them. As a word of caution, however, it might be well to use a great
deal of discretion when using this tradition. Registration, however
permissible under SCA rules, of an order name which is flagrantly mocking
or crass could lead to some pretty heated discussion -- even more so than
with personal names.
