Let me add for the benefit of those who don't know -- this often
means that if you have a local *public* library card, that you have
free access to the OED online through your library's web site, using
your card number to log in. You don't necessarily have to go to the
library to search. (Here in the Seattle area both the Seattle Public
Library and the King County Library System have this access.)
It is *very* cool. :)
