Greetings!

May Crown is -this weekend-!  As always, we will need a fair number of  volunteers to call rounds of the Crown Tournament and also to help with Town Cry. You do not need any experience at all to do this - simply come to Herald's Point willing to learn and ask if there is anything you can do. There will certainly be things you -can- do. The more heralds we have participating, the better! Many hands make light work :)

This year, May Crown is being hosted by the Barony of Vulkanfeldt in Toppenish, WA, at the Toppenish Rodeo Grounds from May 18-21. If you want to come, but find the drive and the gas price daunting (Mapquest is quoting me a 4 hour drive from Coeur du Val which isn't -too- terrible considering how far it is from Avacal!), please contact me and I am sure we can arrange for some sort of carpool or caravan from the most southern points of the Kingdom. A carpool would be preferable to me, so if you are thinking about coming to Crown from the Summits (or from the area between Summits and the site), please let me know off-list and something can be arranged.

A reminder - Town Crier Pursuivant is stepping down at May Crown. Town Crier is my deputy and essentially does what the job title says - Town Cry. This person is responsible for organizing all of the cries at the four Kingdom events (12th Night, May Crown, July Coronation and September Crown), including morning wake-up call. As a result, the person who takes this position should be at least relatively organized enough to keep the Town Cry business in order.
