Perhaps nothing at all. Not all artistic motifs translate into
heraldry. But he might be lucky and maybe we can find something
heraldic to represent it. Got an image? A picture is worth the
proverbial thousand words, and I'm having a difficult time envisioning
what you're describing. Post an image, or if you want send it to me
and I'll post it so we can gnaw on it for the client.
