Perfect for documentation.
> Gwenynwr is Welsh for Bee Keeper. According to the above page, although women seldom use occupational names, it is found occasionally, so I believe this to be a period construction for a 13th C. Welsh woman. Please correct me if I am wrong...
That depends on where Gwenynwr was found, whether it's a period term
and period spelling, and if it's compatible with a feminine forename.
What sort of documentation have you for it?
Let's see, to feminize an occupational byname one apparently adds -es.
Same as to feminize a title, so it seems general (Argylwydd for men,
Argylwyddes for females, for instance). Gwenynwres, then.
Remembering well when the kingdom commenting heralds pulled out an OED
and found the byname a submitter wanted dated to 1935, do find out if
gwenynwr is period. I suggest, if she really wants the name, seeing
if Harpy (that's Baroness Tangwystyl verch Morgant Glasfyrn, the
goddess of all things Welsh in the SCA) can help. She's the one who
created my name for me.
