The client is now asking about argent sword & wings on a sable field:

In other words, Sable in fess a sword inverted between a pair of wings 
argent.

Tec, the close calls you cited earlier are all on gules fields.  My 
guess is that black & silver will run into more stuff, but I can't be 
sure . . .
