 Greetings!

I am embarking on a project which has me very excited. Under the
direction of HL Ciaran Cluana Ferta, I have commenced research toward
the creation of a roll of arms, spcifically the battle roll for the
Battle of Barnet, 14 April 1471, a battle of the English Civil War.

I am keeping an open chronicle of my findings at a blog I'm titling
Creating The Roll, at the following URL:

The blog offers a great opportunity to quickly post items of interest
and invite comments from the populace at large, but mostly to fulfill
what I see as a central role and obligation in this endeavor – sharing
what I have found with others and an outwardly-directed educational
source.

I'm looking at, amongst other things, publishing what I find out about
the materials that went into a roll of arms, making them where
practical and finding out about what went into making them when not
practical. I will also be recording my own understandings of what I
have learnt along the way thus far in the manner of heraldic art,
technical aspects, and production.

In the meantime, I invite all and sundry to stop by, say hi, and
spread the word. Appropriate links gladly reciprocated; RSS feed
available for subscribing.

Also, in the near future, I will shift my SCAdian email traffic to a
new email, which is live now but not yet recognized by the list:
sebastianzemsterne at gmail.com . I would appreciate it if all
SCA-related (and non-Chronicler, after I am duly authorized by the
current office holder and the populace) traffic went to that address,
rather than samuel.klein at gmail.com or eagle at agora.rdrop.com (thanks in
