See
http://www.bookfinder.com/search/?author=E.G.%20Withycombe&title=The%20Oxford%20Dictionary%20of%20English%20Christian%20Names&lang=en&st=xl&ac=qr
(if that link is too long, try http://tinyurl.com/35pbsb ) where copies
(admittedly, not all hardcover -- many are the 3rd edition paperback)
are going for as low as $11.49.

There are a ton of copies available now for a low price. I do not want
to mess up the gentleman's sale, but I don't want new heralds with
meager funds to think they can't afford a copy of Withycombe, either. It
is still a very accessible book despite being out of print. In a few
years, that may change, but for now it's not as rare as one might think.

Incidentally, there is a page at
http://antirheralds.org/education/books.html which lists a lot of the
books that would be useful in a heraldic library, with Bookfinder
searches already set up for each book so you can find copies quickly. So
if anyone is looking for some good books at as reasonable a price as
possible, it's a good place to start. (Bookfinder collects the prices
from just about all of the book sales sites on the web, so you can see
prices there from Amazon, abebooks, alibris, half.com, etc. without
having to go to multiple websites.) I suppose it might be time soon for
an update to that page, though.
