Yo, just found this precedent:

There would be ... nothing for the difference between a pair of wings
conjoined into a vol, and a pair of wings which are in the same

This should not affect my conflict check, however, because the sword
is separating the wings and nothing's touching, making the
classification of three charges versus a single (or even two) charges
fairly straightforward. I stand by my calls that your proposal gets
difference from a vol.
