is in visual conflict with ... Gules, a winged sword Or. A comparison
of the emblazons showed that the visual resemblance was overwhelming.

I think the proposal's arrangement clears if from a winged sword
because the charges are three in fess, definitely, and the wings
arranged so they don't look like it is intended for the sword to be
winged.  So that 'Gules, a winged sword Or' should be clear.
