Hi!

I am not an An Tirian, but I am attending KWHSS - and I need to let you 
know that your plane ticket is not the only thing you need to get done 
SOON. If you are planning on staying at UCL lodging, you will need to 
get your reservations AND full payment in as soon as possible, like 
Monday or Tuesday if you can. They have a policy of full payment six (6) 
weeks in advance of dates of stay - and if you are going to get there 
the day of the start of the event, that would be sometime in the next 
week or so!

All the instructions are on their webpage, which is linked from the 
KWHSS wikidot page. I did an international fax - cost me $11 at Kinko's 
- in April to get the 25% down that I could do at that time, and it took 
me three tries over six days, including a phone call to my bank's fraud 
detection division and an international phone call to the reservations 
gal in London, to get the final transfer done this last week. The first 
one went so smoothly, I don't know why the second (and final) payment 
was so difficult.

I was in email contact with the reservations gal frequently, along with 
the phone call, and they are used to things being a bit 'sticky' with 
overseas payments. However, you are running out of time - they won't be 
able to take funds 'at the door' - you HAVE to do the reservations in 
advance!

I am posting this to the KWHS_08 mailing list, as well, as an advisory 
to people to get things rolling NOW or you won't have a relatively 
inexpensive place to stay when you get to London! Getting there is only 
half the battle!
