[antir-heralds] [STEPS] title of Dame

Dame is indeed an officially reserved title. It's just hidden in the alternate titles material. See the following SCA web site:

http://heraldry.sca.org/heraldry/titles.html

Right above the "title tables" and after "Master of (jobname)... it states:

"In addition to the standard titles listed in Appendix C, the title Dame may be used instead of Mistress by any female member of the Orders of the Laurel, Pelican, or Chivalry."

[heavy sigh regarding almost inverse un-correspondence between ranks of mundane titles and ranks of SCA titles - discussion deleted for everyone's sake]
