The time has come for me to step down as Online Consulting Herald from
An Tir. (Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere-- I've just held this
particular position for a couple of years, and it's time to move on.)

If you are interested in book heraldry and enjoy reading and posting
about it, please consider applying for the online consulting job. This
isn't a big time commitment: I answer a handful of e-mails each month,
often from people who have had their first submissions rejected and are
trying to redesign. You don't need to know everything; asking this list
to help you with a client's question is just fine.

The job perks include a fancy heraldic title and a stack of books.

Here's the official job posting.

We are now taking applications for a new An Tir Online Consulting
Herald. The Online Consulting Herald answers questions about names
and devices via e-mail. Qualified candidates will be interested in book
heraldry and the submissions process, enjoy helping submitters find
registrable names and devices, have good e-mail access, write clearly,
and respond to messages in a timely fashion. The Online Consulting
Herald does NOT need to be an expert in every area of the submissions
process: knowing where to ask for help is enough.

The Online Consulting Herald is on Black Lion's staff as a deputy to
AEstel Herald. Please contact the current Online Consulting Herald,
Ursula Georges, at loyall at antir.sca.org to learn more about the
position. Applications should be submitted to AEstel Herald
( aestel at antir.sca.org ) with copies to Black Lion (
blacklion at antir.sca.org ) and the current online consulting pursuivant
( loyall at antir.sca.org ). Applications are due by the 15th of July.
