I'm not sure if this helps but... The O&A shows the following:
Society for Creative Anachronism: The following badge associated with this
name was registered in August of 2006 (via Laurel): Vert, a key palewise
wards to sinister base Or. For Office of the Chatelaine and Office of the
Hospitaller
An Tir, Kingdom of: The following badge associated with this name was
registered in March of 1986 (via An Tir): Vert, a ring of three keys within
a bordure Or. For the Chatelaine.
I know in our Barony we associate the badge registered to the SCA with the
office of Gold Key and the one registered to An Tir with our Chatelaine.

These two are the most common I've seen - I'm not entirely sure which is the
"official" badge, however.
I think the single key actually stands for the keeper of the Gold Key garb.
