A new member of shire of Earnrokke, Chris wants a name tht is similar to his
anme. So he found the name Crios on a gaelic names website and Criostal
Seaghaire --which should mean Chris Hunter.
That said, when consulting the legitimate resource of
Scottish Gaelic Given Names: For Men:
Names of Scottish Gaels from Scottish Gaelic Sources
Gille Chríosd
Draft Edition
by Sharon L. Krossa

I found a very nice name of Gille-Crist or Gille Chríosd

and also at
http://medievalscotland.org/scotnames/quickgaelicbynames/#descriptivebyname
that he could have the word ' hunter ' added , but only rarely if it was an
occupation. OTOH, he could be the 'son of a hunter' --which should look like
'mac Sealghaire.'

This would be a name that looked like :
Gille Chríosd mac Sealghaire
or
Gille Crist mac Sealghaire

These names would give him the closest to what he wants. Do they look
accurate?

Any help would be appreciated.
