Greetings, all,
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...I just got word back that our fall-back
plan of a mini-Ithra (downgraded from a Grand) on Feb 17-18 with just two
instructors is not panning out. The two instructors are no longer
available. Unless we want to slap something together in the next 24 hours,
I think we'll have to cancel it and look forward to the March 31st How to
Run a Tourney Ithra at Godith's.
So, Announcing the How to Run a Tourney Ithra! March 31 & April 1st (no
foolin') at the home of Godith of Goosefoot Mead! This is a one-track
Ithra--you actually will have the opportunity to take *all* of these classes
if you want to.
The classes we are planning on offering (and I'm looking for instructors for
many of these):
How to Run Gate
How to Run Lists
Waterbearing 101
Constabulary 101
Field Heraldry (core required class)
Target Archery Marshalling - Megan Althea teaching
Heavy Marshalling
How to Be Pied Piper
and last, but not least,
How to Play Tablero!
Anyone out there who is available that weekend who would like to teach these
classes, please contact me at hdenavarre at comcast.net. Thank you!!
We also have opportunities for classes at Sir Eddie's tourney on April
27-29, which I hope to have a few Archery classes (including Megan's Target
Archery Marshalling) and more. Can you teach archery classes? I'd love to
talk with you!!
If you have suggestions or things that you *really want to see* let me know
and we can see what we can do about getting it scheduled for Eddie's or for
a summer Ithra. Remember that at Eddie's the classes will be outdoors--no
electricity, no running water. Classes should be limited to two hours to
allow students to enjoy other things during the event!
Thank you!
