Greetings Ithra fans!
I have had several requests lately about registering for Ithra classes. How
does one do it? Can I get step-by-step directions?
Here I will explain the process, which hinges on having a User ID and
Password. *Note* If you have ever taken an Ithra class before, the chances
are you have a file in the database. If you did not choose your own User ID
and Password, the computer automatically generated one for you, which you
can change as soon as you have access to this file.
If you don't know what your User ID and password are, write to your favorite
chancellor or CIT--he or she can look it up for you. That person can even
change it to something you can remember. Then write your User ID and
Password somewhere you can find it again, like in your Compendium. (If you
lost your compendium, your favorite chancellor can sell you a new one for
$1.)
**Please** do not create a new student file if you know or suspect you
already have one--we will just have to merge your files later. I have no
problem taking a minute out of my day to find your information. :)
Once you have this bit of information, the registration process is fairly
straightforward, but for those who would like to see a snapshot, here is the
process:
* Go to www.ithra.antir.sca.org
* Select a registerable Ithra from the pull-down menu.
* It should open up the Ithra on the General Info page. Here you will often
see a little bit about the site, the rules of Ithra, some other things to
note.
* Click on "classes" from the toolbar, which is the second item from the
left. On this page, you will see the schedule, but you can't register until
you click on the "Go to Registration" button at the top of that page.
* When you click on "Go to Registration", it will take you to a page that
asks for your User Name and Password. Have that ready! If you've
forgotten, but you have a mystery question and answer on file, you can go
"Get Lost User Name" and it will give you the User ID and password.
* Remember that the form is *Case Sensitive*, so if your User Name is
BananaMan, you won't be able to make it work by typing bananaman or
BANANAMAN).
* Enter those and it will take you to your information page--your name,
address, email address, User ID, Password and the "mystery question".
* Make sure that all this information is correct, add a question and answer
so you can retrieve your ID and Password if you lose it.
* PLEASE check your email address! Valid email addresses are important so
that you can receive confirmations and notices from the Chancellor should a
class or session be changed or cancelled. Remember, none of this
information is sold or shared--only Ithra staff can access this data.
* Select your classes by clicking on the "register" box. If you change your
mind, click on it again and the check mark will disappear.
* When you are finished selecting, click on "Submit Classes" at the top of
the schedule.
* It will send you to the final page, with your name, address, phone, email,
User Name & ID, classes, costs, registration fee, and total owed. Look at
the schedule carefully--if a class is full, it will tell you that you are on
a waiting list. You may want to go back and make changes to your schedule
by clicking on the link right under the red "total fees" where it says, "You
may make changes to your schedule at..." with a link. You will have to
enter your User ID and Password again, so keep it handy!
Still stuck? Need help? Email your chancellor and we'll help you out!
Best of luck, and we'll see you at the Ithra!
